WELCOME

Hello and welcome to my athletic training blog site! I am currently a second year graduate student at Bridgewater State University studying Athletic Training. Here are a few picture flashbacks to some of the athletic training experiences I've had so far!

About Me

Hello. My name is Emily Vartabedian, I am currently a second year graduate student at Bridgewater State University working towards my Masters in Athletic Training. I received my Bachelors of Science degree from University of Massachusetts Amherst in Kinesiology in 2012. My interest in athletic training peaked when I participated in an athletic training internship with the UMass football team. I worked with the sports medicine staff at UMass for 2 seasons and fell in love with the field of athletic training. I gained experience and knowledge with taping, rehabilitation, and treatment techniques while also having the opportunity to travel with the team. I experienced athletic training as a lifestyle first-hand, working on the field and in the athletic training room, loving every part of it. In my first year of the Athletic Training graduate program at BSU I had my clinical rotation with Providence College, working with the women's volleyball team and men's basketball team. Through both of these Division I experiences it has given me an appreciation for the athletic trainers at that level and a lifestyle to aspire to. This semester I am currently working with Medfield High School and look forward to seeing the influence and difference I can make with the student athletes by applying the knowledge I have acquired in class and the knowledge I have gained from working with Division I athletes the last 3 years.
